SAN BERNARDINO: Malfunction blacks out 2274 homes, businesses

A transformer malfunction caused a cascade of problems that blacked out 2,274 homes and and businesses in northwest San Bernardino, according to city fire officials and the Southern California Edison website.

And by 3:07 p.m. repair crews had restored electrical service to all but 213 customers, according to the Edison website.
