Armed robbers instead focused on cash while holding up an adult bookstore, sheriff’s officials said Friday.
Two men entered the bookstore in the 25500 block of Base Line just after 1:45 a.m. Thursday and demanded the clerk give them access to the cash register, the Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
“After the clerk opened the register, the suspects made him lay on the floor,” the statement said. “One of the suspects grabbed approximately $90 and both suspects fled the location.”
Deputies weren’t sure if the robbers ran or drove from the scene.
One of the robbers, who flashed a handgun, was described by the Sheriff’s Department as a skinny black man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a scar or tattoo on his forehead.
The other robber was also black but stocky, about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jean shorts, the Sheriff’s Department said.
