CHINO, Calif.

A music video producer has disappeared following a meeting in Compton, and investigators say the circumstances are suspicious. "We just want answers now. We need closure," said Annie Collins, Ray Collins' mother. For Annie and her husband, Ray Collins Sr., the unknown is the worst part of the nightmare they are living. "My worst fear is that they took his life. It's been a month, so what else can you think?" said Ray Collins Sr. Ray Collins' family says they last saw the 29-year-old leave his home in Chino on Feb. 15. The up-and-coming music video producer known as "Ray Rich" met with a friend in Compton about shooting a video and vanished. His car was found abandoned on a Compton street with his wallet still inside. There has been no activity on his cellphone or social media accounts. "Yesterday was a month, and with no leads, no answers and of course I try not to, you know, I'm continuing to trust God that he's going to give me the answer, right now, but it's really pretty hard," Annie Collins said. Collins' parents say their son would never just disappear. His love for his family and producing music videos was his focus. "He is trying to help up-and-coming rap artists do their music videos. So, that's what makes this suspicious because he has had plans during that week to video tape some rap videos," said Detective Toni Martinez with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Detectives and Collins' family are pleading with the public to help them solve this mystery. "We are totally devastated. I haven't seen my son in a month and it hurts. My family hurts," said Ray Collins Sr. Annie had this message for anyone who might have any information about her son's disappearance: "Put yourself in our position, and if it was one of your children, and if you knew of someone who knew something, come forward. Give the information that you know, because sooner or later, it's going to come out." Investigators and family members say Collins is not a gang member. Authorities say they have no idea what may have happened to him.
