Motorcyclist performs tricks, then surrenders after high-speed pursuit

ONTARIO, Calif.

A motorcyclist led California Highway Patrol officers in a high-speed pursuit across several cities Wednesday night, performing tricks on his bike before surrendering in Ontario. The chase began at about 6 p.m. on East Highland Avenue and North Orange Street in La Habra. Authorities attempted to pull the motorcyclist over for reckless driving. He briefly stopped in a Claremont neighborhood before taking off again and speeding past a police cruiser.

Shortly before 7 p.m., the motorcyclist was performing tricks. He could be seen standing up on his bike while driving at high speeds. By 7 p.m., the suspect pulled into a gas station in Ontario and surrendered to officers, who quickly detained him.
