SAN BERNARDINO Former Colton police detective Wesley Bruhn is facing sentencing after pleading guilty to stealing more than $165,000 from his own police union. Bruhn appeared in Superior Court Wednesday and changed his plea to guilty to five counts of grand theft and one count of forgery. The funds began to disappear in 2008 and continued for 4-years. Bruhn was president and treasurer of the Colton Police Officers Association. He was placed on administrative leave when the investigation began. Sentencing is scheduled for April 30th.
