Officers on scene found shell casings below a sign where the complex’s driveway meets the sidewalk. Other officers canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses.
No suspect information has been released.
About two hours later, 30 or so rounds were fired in the 1400 block of North Sepulveda Avenue in central San Bernardino, police confirmed.
At least one of those bullets struck a man in his groin area while he was sitting in a car. The unidentified man was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center and was expected to recover, according to authorities.
