A Fontana High School teacher was arrested and charged with five counts of child stealing, according to the Corona Police Department.
On March 10, detectives from the Fontana Police Department arrested Anthony Joshua Perez, 28, in Corona.
This arrest came in reference to a sexual assault investigation, the Corona P.D. said in a statement released in late April.
Perez is charged with having an inappropriate relationship with a Fohi student, and he is currently out of custody on bail, the statement said.
Additional details of this case were not released.
No other students in Fontana were involved in the case, according to the Fontana P.D.
However, in a subsequent investigation, the Corona P.D. determined that Perez may have had inappropriate contact with students in the Corona Norco Unified School District (CNUSD). Perez was an employee of CNUSD and taught at Lee Pollard High School between 2010 and 2011 and at Corona High School between 2012 to 2013.
