SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) - A San Bernardino mother has been arrested after her 3-year-old daughter pointed a sheriff deputy’s stolen gun at a detective. The incident occurred when investigators went to the home of Kimberly Torres. She was the owner of a vehicle police had searched earlier and arrested the driver. A search turned up another gun stolen from an off-duty Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy. Both weapons had been taken from the deputy’s vehicle parked outside a San Bernardino business on May 7th. As investigators were interviewing Torres, her daughter walked out of a bedroom and pointed the loaded semi-automatic pistol at the officers. She was quickly disarmed without incident. Torres was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment. The little girl was turned over to Child and Family Services.
