SAN BERNARDINO >> A man in his mid-50s continued to fight for his life Saturday after he was allegedly assaulted by an 18-year-old man.
Officers found the injured man around 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of East Third Street, police Lt. Vicki Cervantes said.
“He was apparently kicked once in the back,” she said. “He fell to the ground and sustained substantial spinal cord injuries.”
He remained in critical condition at Loma Linda University Medical Center, she added.
Police say the victim and another man, identified as Seth Koby Walker, 18 of San Bernardino, were in a heated argument when Walker allegedly kicked the man in his back, sending him to the ground.
Walker was arrested at a home in the 1060 block of East Second Street on suspicion of attempted murder. He was being held at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga in lieu of $1 million bail.
