A 31-year-old U.S. Navy veteran died after falling from atop an attraction at the San Bernardino County Fair.

Sabrina Gordon was on the middle level and preparing to jump when she apparently changed her mind. She tried to grab a pole, but then struck her head on the scaffolding and fell more than 20 feet, witnesses said.
She died several hours later.
