Loma Linda city deputies were investigating a commercial burglary that occurred at Quaid Harley Davidson motorcycle shop. While conducting an area check for the burglary suspect, deputies contacted Robbie Gurule, 26. pf San Bernardino near the scene. Gurule was walking in the parking lot of Nader's Buisness plaza, which has also recently been victimized by night time burglaries. During initial contact with Gurule, he lied to deputies about his identity and was found to be in possession of burglary tools. After a series of questions, deputies were led to a hotel room in San Bernardino where Gurule and his girlfriend Angelina Gutierrez, 24, of Highland, were staying.
At the hotel, deputies conducted a search of Gurule’s hotel room where several items of stolen checks and mail were found inside. Along with the stolen property, deputies seized check washing equipment and illegal drugs. A total of four suspects were arrested at the scene and charged with identity theft, possession of fraudulent checks, and possession of illegal drugs. The other two suspects are Daniel Leivas, 50, of Blythe and Alexandria Leon, 23, of Yucaipa.
Central station detectives estimate there are over 100 victims of identity theft and notifications are currently being made. This investigation is ongoing.
