The Hesperia Sheriff's Station is hosting a Start Smart driving class for teen drivers and their parents at the station from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 26, and there's still room to make reservations.
The free two-hour class is the product of a partnership between the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and the California Highway Patrol and covers a variety of topics from safe driving tips to parental responsibilities and legal ramifications of a bad choice between the wheel.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling Karen Hunt at the Hesperia Sheriff's Station at 760-947-1549.
