HESPERIA Police arrested Wednesday a man accused of stealing $5,000 in lottery scratcher tickets in the 16800 block of Main Street. On July 10, deputies who responded to a report of a commercial burglary noted the glass front door to the location was broken and the interior appeared ransacked. Through investigation it was learned that lottery scratcher tickets of approximately $5,000 in retail value were stolen. Detectives were able to identify Jaime Javier Cardenas, 37, of Victorville, as a suspect in this commercial burglary. On July 29, evidence was located linking Cardenas to the commercial burglary at Cardenas’ residence in the 14500 block of Owens Rivers Rd, Victorville. Suspect Jaime Cardenas was arrested in 2012 and 2013 by Hesperia Sheriff’s Deputies for commercial burglaries also involving stolen lottery scratches.
