An Adelanto man and ex-Disneyland employee who made regional headlines in July after being accused of selling Disneyland tickets in exchange for sex on Craigslist has pleaded not guilty to three felony sex crimes in connection to the alleged crime.
Darreck Michael Enciso, 27, is being held at an Orange County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail after investigators reportedly determined that he had posted an ad on Craigslist seeking women willing to engage in sex acts in exchange for tickets to the Disneyland parks. Orange County District Attorney's Office officials said in a July 13 statement that he was caught in mid-July after communicating with an undercover Huntington Beach Police officer, whom he thought was a 14-year-old girl interested in the tickets. Enciso set up a meeting with the detective, whom he thought was a minor girl, to give her the tickets in exchange for sex acts. He reportedly showed up to the location on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Park with condoms and Disneyland tickets.
He was arrested and booked into jail before being arraigned Friday. He is facing three felony charges: Attempting lewd acts on a child 14 or 15 years of age, luring a child with intent to commit a specified crime and meeting with a minor to commit lewd conduct. Orange County court records show he is scheduled for a pre-trial on October 1.
Enciso was a dishwasher at a Disneyland hotel for roughly one year before the incident occurred. Disneyland officials said that he was "immediately relieved of his duties as a dishwasher" when the company discovered the arrest.
