REDLANDS>> Detectives are seeking a suspect in a home invasion robbery and carjacking that occurred Saturday in the 1300 block of Campus Avenue, according to Redlands police.
The suspect, wielding a knife, confronted a 20-year-old female at her home shortly before 9:30 p.m. and demanded her car keys, according a news release from the Redlands Police Department.
After giving the suspect her keys, she struggled with him before she escaped the home and ran to a neighbor’s home, according to the release.
The suspect escaped in the victim’s gray Volkswagen Jetta, license plate number 6KZM222, heading west on Campus Avenue, according to police.
Police units were on scene within one minute of the 911 call but were unable to locate the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, six-feet tall and was last seen wearing a red, long-sleeved shirt, black fingerless gloves and a blue bandana over his face, according to police.
