Chavez had gone to the victim’s home to confront her about the recent end of their relationship, and he became angry because she wouldn’t let him in. He pulled out the knife and tried to enter the residence by prying open windows.googleoff: all
The woman, from behind a locked security screen door, yelled for him to stop. Chavez charged the front door with the knife, trying to stab at the woman through the screen door. Meanwhile, she had armed herself with a large kitchen knife.googleoff: all
