HEMET – Police have taken down a sophisticated honey oil lab at a residence occupied by five adults and six children. The concentrated honey oil was being extricated from marijuana through a highly dangerous process that uses butane to extract and concentrate compounds from marijuana. Its street value was estimated at $15,000. Also found in the home were two firearms, ammunition and 250 butane canisters. Code enforcement red-tagged the residence. The investigation led to the arrest of seven people. The children were handed over to Child Protective Services.
