Recommended actions A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.After several days of cooler weather, the prospect of high temperatures and increased moisture has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a heat advisory and flash flood watch over the next few days for the Inland Empire.
Both weather alerts are expected to go into effect today at noon and will continue until Thursday.
Temperatures are expected to hover around the century mark, with Ontario seeing readings as high as 104 degrees. Thunderstorms are also being forecast for the mountains and low deserts beginning 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to the NWS.

The excessive heat is expected to continue until Thursday, when temperatures will fall into the high 90s.
Although the High Desert will also be hot, it will be several degrees cooler than cities in the San Bernardino basin. Victorville’s high temperatures will be in the upper 90s today and will reach around 101 on Thursday, the NWS website shows.
Authorities remind people to take the necessary precautions during heat wave including drinking plenty of water, limiting physical activity to early in the morning or later in the evening, checking on elderly neighbors and to never leave people or animals in vehicles.
