The Great Duck Race, a part of this weekend's annual Hesperia Days festivities, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hesperia Lake Park.
Tickets cost $20 and are tax deductible as proceeds benefit free programs for seniors in the High Desert presented by the Victor Valley Community Services Council.
The first duck across the finish line will win $1,000 for its sponsor. The last duck will win $250 and 10 lazy ducks can win $25 for resting in designated places along the course. For more information, call 760-243-9646.
