GRAND TERRACE >> A San Bernardino man suspected of following female hikers and using his bodily fluid to draw hearts on their cars was arrested at the head of the hiking trail he’s accused of stalking, San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies said.
According to booking records, Rosalio Padilla, 48, was arrested Thursday evening at Honey Hill Drive and Barton Road, the trailhead for the Blue Mountain trail in Grand Terrace.
Deputies were in the area when they spotted a blue van matching the description of the man who was seen by the hikers, sheriff’s deputies said.

Deputies stopped the van and found a man, later identified as Padilla, inside. After an investigation, said, deputies, he was arrested and booked into Central Detention Center in San Bernardino on suspicion of stalking.
On Saturday, deputies received several calls from a hiker alerting them about a man who was using his saliva and other bodily fluids to draw a heart on her vehicle window. She told investigators it was the third time the man had done this, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Additional alleged victims were found, deputies said.
