More local gas stations are advertising under $3 a gallon and are the lowest in four months. That compares to the California average of $3.04 and the nationally at $2.28. Pump prices have slid below $2 a gallon in some southern states. “Currently, 13 California metropolitan areas have average prices under $3 a gallon, but they’re all in Northern California,”
