About 10:15 p.m. Monday, Lynch and McGee walked into the Amigos Market at 1602 Highland Ave. in San Bernardino. They gathered some items and took them to the clerk to ring up. But when the clerk read them the total, they realized they didn't have enough money.googleoff: allgoogleon: all

When the clerk wouldn't give the women the items for less than their listed price, the women became agitated, Cervantes said.googleoff: allgoogleon: all

One of the women snatched the bat from the clerk, and started beating him with it. After some time, the woman handed the bat off to the other woman, who continued to beat the clerk.googleoff: allgoogleon: all

The clerk suffered welts and bruises from the beating, Cervantes said. When the women were finished, they left the scene with the items, which totaled less than $100.googleoff: allgoogleon: all

The clerk then called the San Bernardino Police Department, and an officer came to the scene. After interviewing the victim, the officer went to his car to compile the incident report. That's when Lacy, Katherine McGee and the 17-year-old walked into the store.googleoff: allgoogleon: all

Upset over the original confrontation, the three threatened the clerk in the store, Cervantes said. The argument was taken outside, where the officer witnessed it. As the three walked away from the store, another officer arrived and stopped them. Upon further questioning, they were arrested. Lynch and McGee were arrested after that.
