San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at about 7:39 p.m. Friday in the 14300 block of Bear Valley Road in Victorville.
Upon arrival, the victim, a 45-year-old man, informed deputies that the suspect entered the Beauty Nails Salon upset because the victim, on Thursday, told his son to leave the shop for selling candy.
The suspect began making threats toward the staff, and at one point threw a clay planter holding a large plant at the victim. The suspect smashed another clay pot onto the floor and fled in a light blue minivan, possibly a Toyota.
The suspect is described as a black man about 30 years old, 5 feet, ll inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds. He was wearing a blue shirt and tan shorts at the time of the incident.
