A minivan sits on its side after a two-vehicle collision in the area of Seventh Avenue and Ranchero Road in Hesperia on Tuesday night. Three people; a mother and her two children; who were riding in the van reportedly suffered minor injuries

HESPERIA — A mother and her two children were injured in a rollover crash after their minivan was struck by a red Camaro, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials said.

Eduardo Hernandez, of Pasadena, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Tuesday after he allegedly ran a stop sign shortly before the crash, according to Hesperia Sheriff's station spokeswoman Karen Hunt.

Hernandez was seen driving erratically near the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Ranchero Road in Hesperia at approximately 8 p.m., officials said.

The Camaro failed to stop at the intersection, authorities said, and crashed into the white minivan carrying two young children, a boy and a girl, and their mother.

The crash caused the vehicle to roll onto its side, officials said.

According to officials, the woman and her children suffered minor injuries and no one required medical treatment.

Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Hunt said, and the two damaged vehicles were towed from the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
