A month-ending shot at warmer weather is just what trick-or-treaters ordered for Halloween. But, November will open decidedly cooler with increasing chances of rain. Wind and warnings about the wildfire potential are winding down as the first noticeable Santa Ana zephyrs of the season diminish leaving the weekend generally warm and dry. Computer models are setting up a familiar winter pattern for next week. The first in a series of weather fronts will push into Southern California Monday followed by others keeping the atmosphere unsettled through Thursday. Tuesday and Wednesday offer the best chances of rain. Temperatures will reflect the changing seasons becoming 10-20 degrees below normal posing a chance of the first measurable mountain snow. Unsettled weather is predicted to exit the area by Friday allowing temperatures to warm slightly with nights continuing on the chilly side.
