APPLE VALLEY For the second time in 4-days, an elderly motorist trying to park a vehicle has caused a fatal accident. Sheriff’s investigators say the 86-year-old motorist was pulling into a parking space at a Bank of America on Bear Valley Road Tuesday. Her car jumped the curb, struck a sign and then hit a 55-year-old man. He died at the scene. The driver was not hurt. In Riverside last Friday, an elderly driver was trying to park in a handicap space at the Brockton Arcade when her vehicle pinned a man sitting on a bench against the outside wall of a business fatally injuring him.
