Duane Goad, 43, Brittany Gund, 23, Forrest Rowe, 45, and Gregory Osborne, 48. Goad was arrested for a no bail warrant for violating terms of his probation. Gund and Rowe were taken into custody for conspiring to commit mail theft and identity theft. Osborne was arrested for $1 million in arrest warrants.
FONTANA Fontana police are leading the Inland Empire’s offensive against mail box thieves who are bent on identity theft. An investigation took detectives to San Bernardino where a quartet was arrested. Search warrants served at a motel room and a residence turned up over 500 profiles containing true identities, stolen checks, social security numbers, IP addresses and other financial information. Tools for altering and creating fictitious checks were also located, including printers, computers, black check stock and ink. Those arrested were identified as Duane Goad, 43; his girlfriend Brittany Gund; Forrest Rowe, 45, and Gregory Osborne, age 48. Bail on each was set at $1 million. Mail theft has become epidemic across the Inland Empire.
