Winterfest: The city of Yucaipa will host its third annual WinterFest and tree lighting

Calico Holiday Festival: Festive fun to begin the holiday season from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Nov. 28 at the historic Calico Ghost Town. The event will feature entertainment, activities and a Christmas tree lighting. Admission is $8 per person, $5 for youth 6-15, and no change for children 5 and younger.

The Calico Town shops and restaurants will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Calico Ghost Town is located at 36600 Ghost Town Road, Calico, 800-862-2542. www.calicotown.com Apple Butter Festival: Families are invited to enjoy the traditions from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 27-29 at Los Rios Rancho, 39611 S. Antique Rows Collectors Street Faire: Treasure hunters are invited to explore three blocks of antique vendors from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 28 in the 100 and 200 block of E. 2nd Street in Pomona. Santa’s Grand Entrance: Come and enjoy the festivities at Santa’s Grand Entrance in Big Bear Village. Entertainment will take place from 5-10 Nov. 27 on Pine Knot Blvd and Village Drive. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in his sleigh at 6 p.m. Santa will also be at the Christmas tree lot every weekend from 10-4 p.m. until December 20th. Green Friday Sale: The Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden will offer free admission for children under 18 on Nov. 27 when accompanied by an adult. The Garden is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last entry at 4:30. Enjoy a walk through the autumn colors of Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, and a self-guided scavenger hunt. Winterfest: The city of Yucaipa will host its third annual WinterFest and tree lighting ceremony from 3-8 p.m. Nov. 28 in Historic Uptown Yucaipa at the top of Yucaipa Blvd. Folks will gather to enjoy yuletide carolers, live holiday music, a food court and the Yucaipa Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Boutique featuring lots of holiday shopping opportunities. The popular snow play zone with 40 tons of snow is sure to be a hit along with the “Polar Express” train. The event will include live music and parking is free.
