SAN BERNARDINO >> One person was behind bars Monday after allegedly leading San Bernardino police on a high-speed pursuit that ended in Hesperia early Monday morning, officials said.
The unnamed motorist was first pulled over at Sixth and E streets around 3 a.m., according Lt. Rich Lawhead.
“Officers made the stop, and the driver initially complied,” he said. “However, when the officer located narcotics paraphernalia and attempted to arrest the suspect, the suspect resisted and reached for something in the vehicle. The officer attempted to gain control of the suspect but (the motorist) was able to enter the vehicle and flee.”
