Investigators found the child along F Street south of Ninth Street in San Bernardino, officials said.
They learned the child, Traylor and the other suspect had been staying at an Economy Inn, 685 W. Sixth St., and that the suspects were driving a red vehicle with Maine license plates, according to a statement.
Officers served a search warrant at the hotel room and found what they believed to be evidence of prostitution, as well as an assault rifle.
Through the investigation, officers discovered Traylor had two arrest warrants from Virginia and one out of San Bernardino County for a 2014 prostitution case. The teen was also arrested on suspicion of weapons charges after it was found he was prohibited from possessing a weapon.
