Police arrested Thursday a Rialto man they suspect shot a pregnant woman last weekend in San Bernardino.

Twonn Alonzo McCoy, 28, faces charges that include attempted murder, robbery and a carjacking. Detectives arrested him after following up on leads provided by witnesses and reviewing surveillance videos, a news release stated.

McCoy is suspected of shooting the victim at about 8:22 p.m. Sunday as the two sat inside a vehicle. He then ran to a gas station on Base Line Street, allegedly robbed it at gunpoint of an undetermined amount of cash, carjacked a customer and fled in a Jeep Cherokee, according to San Bernardino police.

The shooting victim was hospitalized in critical condition, and the Jeep was found in Fontana along the 10.
