VICTORVILLE — Eight men and four women were arrested Friday on suspicion of soliciting prostitution, official said.
Deputies from the Victorville Sheriff’s Station’s Gang Unit and Multi-Enforcement Unit conducted a proactive prostitution enforcement operation along Seventh Street in Victorville last week.
While investigating, undercover deputies contacted females, known to be prostitutes in the city, who then solicited them for sex acts in exchange for money, officials said. In addition to the prostitution contacts made, undercover female deputies posed as prostitutes and conducted “John” operations.
The operation resulted in the following eight men and four women being arrested: Garcia-Lopez, 42 of Apple Valley; Oscar Ruelas, 43 of Victorville; Luis Magdaleno, 41 of Adelanto; Kadell Agee, 27 of Victorville; John Rosales, 49 of Victorville; Larry Rustad, 36 of Apple Valley; Erick Cuevas, 23 of Hesperia; Michael Flores, 29 of Victorville; Cynthia Romo, 49 of Victorville; Veronica Brown, 47 of Victorville;…
