SAN BERNARDINO: Arson suspected in Kendall Fire

San Bernardino County fire officials believe the Kendall Fire that ripped through Little Mountain in San Bernardino on Saturday, July 2, was an act of arson.

“The cause of the fire is suspected arson and the investigation is ongoing,” spokesman Eric Sherwin said.

The blaze broke out shortly after 1 p.m. leaving three people injured, five homes burned and almost 9 acres scorched.

Two firefighters were injured. One from heat exhaustion and another from smoke inhalation as well as one civilian who also suffered from smoke inhalation.
