Those who try to sell alcohol to minors have been put on notice.
The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control awarded the Upland Police Department a $37,594 grant to pay for undercover investigations to ensure that establishments are not selling to minors.
The department can also use the funds for other alcohol-related investigations and enforcement activity.
Upland will designate $30,000 toward overtime for police officers and a sergeant to conduct the undercover investigations and other enforcement activity.
The remaining $7,500 will be used for equipment, travel expenses for training, and any expenses to operate the investigations.
