VICTORVILLE — A high-speed pursuit lead deputies through various areas of the Victor Valley region and ended in Victorville early Saturday morning, officials said.
Just after 12:30 a.m., California Highway Patrol officials attempted to pull over a white Ford sedan on the Interstate 15 freeway for speeding. The vehicle failed to yield to the lights and siren, initiating a pursuit.
CHP officials notified Victorville Sheriff’s Station units that the pursuit was coming into their area. Soon after, Victorville deputies then joined the pursuit which came onto Mojave Drive, officials said.
The pursuit continued through Victorville and entered into Apple Valley as the suspect drove down Highway 18 and westbound back onto Bear Valley Road, reaching speeds of 115 mph.
After multiple failed pit maneuvers on Bear Valley Road, a spike strip was deployed and successful.
The pursuit reached Bear Valley and Amargosa Road where deputies performed a successful pit maneuver on the vehicle as the pursuit came to a stop.
The driver was taken into custody without further incident and San Bernardino County Fire Department and the American Medical Response team were dispatched to the scene to treat the driver for unknown injuries, officials said.
The pursuit is currently under investigation and this story is developing as more information will be updated as it becomes available.
