SAN BERNARDINO >> A woman found dead in a car that crashed into a fence here Wednesday night suffered a gunshot wound, a police official said. It’s the city’s 41st homicide of the year.
The woman, who was in the driver’s seat, was the sole occupant of the vehicle, said San Bernardino Police Lt. David Green. The collision was reported 8:23 p.m. near North Fairfax Drive and East Date Street, he said.
No other details were available.
Police taped off a crime scene on East Date Street extending from Erwin Avenue to just east of North Fairfax Drive.
