HESPERIA >> A San Bernardino County sheriff’s dive team late Saturday suspended for the night its search for a man reported to have fallen into a Hesperia aqueduct earlier in the day, according to sheriff’s spokesperson Cindy Bachman.
A caller reported seeing a man in the California Aqueduct near Main Street about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Bachman wrote in an email. The dive team arrived at 10 a.m. and searched the aqueduct for several miles but could not locate him. Bachman tweeted at 8:21 p.m. that the search had been suspended.
The dive team will resume its search Sunday morning.
