Man kills himself in front yard of Hesperia home

HESPERIA — A man who authorities say shot himself was pronounced dead outside of a Hesperia home Thursday morning.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Cindy Bachman said deputies responded to a shooting at a home in the 15700 block of Cashew Street at approximately 7:41 a.m. Bachman said the reporting party said the man may have shot himself in the front yard of the home.

According to scanner traffic, the man did not have a pulse several minutes after the initial report and was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 7:50 a.m.

Additional information was not available as the Sheriff’s Department conducted its investigation.
