A marijuana dispensary less than a mile away from the main San Bernardino Police Department station and a mile and a half away from San Bernardino City Hall was raided Tuesday morning, Aug. 16.
The raid resulted in three arrests and the seizure of several pounds of processed marijuana, two firearms, and a large amount of cash, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department news release.
Deputies requested a search warrant for the dispensary at 1391 North D Street after busting an illegal outdoor marijuana grow operation in the High Desert, the news release said. Evidence from the crime scene led them to the dispensary, which is called "The Dank Shack," according to several social media accounts and the online directory weedmaps.com.
Though the store labels itself a legal marijuana dispensary, deputies found that the people who were arrested were not in compliance with state medical marijuana laws and local ordinances, including the San Bernardino city ordinance prohibiting marijuana dispensaries.
San Bernardino city code enforcers found several code violations at the facility. Code Enforcement investigators are still developing a case that may end in the tenants and property owners being cited.
Adelanto resident Alberto Camba, 39, Riverside resident Audel Eduardo Aparicio, 34, and San bernardino resident Marin Roberto Aguilar, 26, were all booked into jail on suspicion of selling marijuana.
